Knowledge is power, if you know it about the right person. - Ethel Mumford

she also said, "God gives us relatives; thank God we can choose our friends."

the mark of a great friend is knowing that person will be there for you without having to say it.

perhaps some people measure friendship by all of the interaction that takes place. true, this builds bonds, and I guess these bonds need to be created, but once the bonds have been forged, it doesn't matter what happens after that, because they will always be there and thought days, months, or even years may pass, nothing seems to change between you. you can pick up right where you left off.

barring, of course, the unrequited love clause and an active and obsessive imagination - but let's not talk about that.

maybe this isn't true. maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, becuse I don't really get to see anyone. but whatever - those times that I do get to see anyone, especially lorie, I am elated beyond words. I feel those pieces that were missing return and there is a sense of completeness.

maybe I would like to think that nothing has changed between people after long breaks, because maybe if that was not the case, then my fragile mind would not be able to handle the reality that people move on without you and that you can never catch up with them.

yeah right.

that would suck. for the world.

I was reading up on pascal's wager. I've heard it before, but never in this form or as succinctly. I kind of look at it and go.

"duuuh."

but whatever.

choice is choice and choice is our right as humans.

so choose. and there are only two options.

I get to see wicked today.

work is sponsoring.

we have extra tickets.

if you can get to houston prior to 7pm CDT - we might be able to get you in.

of course. given that it's 1:30pm and that any place ticket would be more than the cost of a seat - it's probably not a worthwhile endeavor.
