so I just found out that although I have enough flights to the end of the year, i probably won't be making platinum status...
basically, I need 11 segments from now until the end of the year but because the way they classify my tickets, I won't be eligible for the segments for the flights I'm on... which means I need to figure out how to get 11 qualifying flights in before the year ends...
probably not going to happen.
so that blows.

ok... so I just did some math... and I'll be 13000 miles short of actually doing it via miles... it's actually not all that many in the grand scheme of things. a flight to the west coast is probably 3000 miles round trip easy... if I do four flights to the west coast, I think I could cover it.... the problem then would be what I would be doing there... plus I'd only fly out for a day. oh... and the whole cost of the ticket... so boo on that idea.
