there is a tool that is frequently used, or rather - I frequently use - when using Photoshop...
it is the smudge tool.
This tool, as simple as it sounds, simply does that - smudges.
it blurs the lines of a photo... akin to an artist and his paint.
it allows pieces of a puzzle to seem to fit seamlessly... because the seams are virtually erased.
the problem is when the smudge tool is applied to my memory...
you can imagine the affects of that tool on a human mind.
everything is jumbled together and then your logic tends to go along with that.
... ... ...
smudges are also those dirty marks on the walls and floors and windows - they can help make things look lived in, and not so much like a museum, but over application of smudges turns the place into a sty...
... ... ...
do you think you are more comfortable in an obsessively neat house or a messy house?
I am obviously of the mind of those who would pick the latter, although I do prefer some semblance of order.
obsessively neat houses make me feel... inadequate... and very edgy...
this is probably due to that thing called consideration because I try not to offend the owner of the house by disturbing his disturbing cleanliness.
Most people fall somewhere in the middle... and messy does not fall into the realm of sloppy... I am thinking of messy as disarranged, and not filthy (which is where I place "sloppy")
sloppy means that you have food lying about amidst empty and semi-empty cartons and boxes. used napkins everywhere and an over full garbage.
I have been there...
to that place called sloppy.
most guys have - just go to the a male floor in a dorm on any given night, but before they expect company.
I could be wrong.
that could be just me and the people I see.
but you may be right, I may be crazy...
but it just might be a lunatic you are looking for...
