It just dawned on me! This scroll of Broken Sword's isn't about sword technique but about swordsmanship's ultimate ideal. Swordsmanship's first achievement is the unity of man and sword. Once this unity is attained, even a blade of grass can be a weapon. The second achievement is when the sword exists in one's heart when absent from one's hand. One can strike an enemy at 100 paces, even with bare hands. Swordsmanship's ultimate achievement is the absence of the sword in both hand and heart. The swordsman is at peace with the rest of the world. He vows not to kill and to bring peace to mankind.
~King of Qin, Ying xiong [Hero]
You remember when I said how I was gonna explain about life, buddy? Well the thing about life is, it gets weird. People are always talking ya about truth. Everybody always knows what the truth is, like it was toilet paper or somethin', and they got a supply in the closet. But what you learn, as you get older, is there ain't no truth. All there is is bullshit, pardon my vulgarity here. Layers of it. One layer of bullshit on top of another. And what you do in life like when you get older is, you pick the layer of bullshit that you prefer and that's your bullshit, so to speak.
~Bernard LePlante, Hero
what is your layer...
there has got to be a layer that isn't bullshit, right? Well, I guess if you have true faith... [I feel so extraordinary... Something's got a hold on me...]
if not, then, I would assume that the layer you choose is your best bet...
anyhow, things have been too busy lately. with what have we been busy?
good question. I don't know.
there are just a blur of events, and memories are better remembered when shared with those who experienced them, or maybe even those who would have liked to experience them.
maybe sharing memories allows you to imagine that you had those same memories, then you can feel like you've been there and thus fulfill your life through the description of others...
nah...
what makes for a fulfilling life?
what is life...
life is interaction. I would guess the meaning of life, well, human life, is to love...
and perhaps not necessarily to be loved in return...
but one would hope, wouldn't one? [although there is One that will love, even if we don't love back]
anyhow...
I'm going to drown out my thoughts in the last episode of "Smallville" that I Tivoed...
...
whoa...
